Many of us love snickerdoodle cookies with all its cinnamon sugar yummy goodness. Sure enough, we’ve heard of Snickerdoodles and Cry Babies from our parents and even grandparents. These cookie recipes actually come from New England states. Over the years, people still love them and have learned to adapt its recipes into delectable snickerdoodle cake recipes.

Here are two snickerdoodle cake recipes your whole family will enjoy:

I. Snickerdoodle with Cinnamon Buttercream Cake

Ingredients for the Cake:

. 1 cup of whole milk
. 1 box of white cake mix
. ? cup of butter (melted)
. 1 tsp. vanilla extract
. 3 large-sized eggs
. 2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Ingredients for the Cinnamon Buttercream:

. 3 ? cups of powdered sugar (sifted)
. 1stick butter (placed at room temperature)
. 3 to 4 tbsp. milk

Steps for the Cake:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. prepare two 8 inch or 9 inch pans.
2. Using an electric mixer, combine the milk, cake mix, melted butter, vanilla, eggs and cinnamon. Then scrape down the sides of the bowl. Afterwards, increase the speed to medium for two to three minutes or until it has blended thoroughly. Divide the mixture between prepared pans.
3. Put the pans in the oven and bake for approximately 27 to 30minutes. When the cakes turn golden brown and can spring back when you press them gently, they’re done.
4. Allow cooling by putting the pans on a wire rack for about 10 minutes. Afterwards, remove the cake from the pans for complete cooling.
5. Once the cake cools, fill and ice them with your Cinnamon Buttercream.

Steps for the Cinnamon Buttercream:

1. Using a electric mixer, beat the butter until it becomes fluffy. Add the vanilla, cinnamon and milk. Then slowdly add the powdered sugar.
2. Increase the speed to medium. Beat until it becomes light and fluffy. If necessary, add more milk or until you get your desired consistency.

Snickerdoodle with Cinnamon Buttercream Cake is a delectable treat. Though it is not that similar to the snickerdoodle cookies we are used to having, it is still just as delicious, especially if you top it with cinnamon buttercream.

II. Snickerdoodle with Brown Sugar Buttercream Cake

Ingredients for the Cake:

. 1 ? c. cake flour
. 1 ? c. flour
. 1 tablespoon baking powder
. 1 tablespoon cinnamon
. ? teaspoon salt
. 2 sticks of softened butter
. 4 eggs
. 1 ? c. sugar
. 2 teaspoon vanilla
. 1 ? c. milk

Ingredients for the Brown Sugar Buttercream:

. 1/3 c. brown sugar
. 1 ? sticks of softened butter
. ? teaspoon cinnamon
. 3 tablespoon half & half
. 3 c. powdered sugar

Steps for the Cake:

1. Prepare oven at 325 degrees F.
2. Flour and butter two cake pans.
3. Sift together baking powder, both flours, cinnamon and salt. Set aside.
4. Cream sugar and butter until pale & fluffy.
5. Add the eggs one at a time. Add the vanilla.
6. Alternately add the dry mixture and the milk in 3 batches.
7. Bake the mixture for 35 minutes.
8. Add the brown sugar buttercream.

Steps for the Brown Sugar Buttercream:

1. Mix the brown sugar, butter and cinnamon.
2. Alternately add the powdered sugar and the half & half.
3. Frost the cake.

Many people find Snickerdoodle with Brown Sugar Buttercream Cake just as tasty as snickerdoodle cookies. It’s really moist and the frosting tastes delicious!
