What you need:
1 16-ounce loaf of French or Italian bread
2 large cloves of garlic
½ cup or 1 stick unsalted butter
1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions:

Step 3
Remove the baking pan from the oven and sprinkle the bread with grated parmesan cheese. Return to oven; place the baking pan on the highest rack. Set heat to high and broil for around 2 to 3 minutes or until the edges of the bread start toasting or the cheese bubbles.

Step 4
Remove from oven and let stand for a minute. Remove from the pan, slice into 1-inch thick slices, and serve with your favorite pasta recipe.

Tip:
It is easy to turn untoasted garlic bread into burnt bread. Watch very closely as you broil the bread.
